Howl,
Old dog winter let out a big growl this week in our neighborhood.
He brought snow, freezing rain, wind and flattened our fur.
It is difficult for us to get used to this change of season just like it is for our humans.
Somehow, we are transitioning.
Here are 3 short poems to help you adjust to the old dog named Winter.
Warm paws on cold ground.
Reinvigorates our fur.
Awake and ready.
Romp while it snows out.
Puppy energy runs free.
Smiles and much joy.
Hunker down during storm.
Cuddle with loved ones and bones.
Receive warmth and love.
Woof,
Bella and DiDi
Sweet poetry! The last one is my favorite. Cuddling is my best activity.
Love and licks,

Wow Bella and Didi, you write very good poems.
They warm my heart!
Here in Australia, it is summer and Fiona is wearing her cool clothes.
It ages since I have worn my winter coats and i am enjoying rolling in freshly cut grass to dye my brindle coat green.
It makes a change. Usually it makes Fiona laugh!
We also have been having lovely long dusks to go out walking and meet our neighbours.
We had a very cold and bitter winter during your summer.
We even had snow, the first time I ever experienced it.
Fiona showed me the special shoes that dogs in America put on their paws in very cold snowy weather.
We wear them on days when it gets so hot the bitumen melts in summer. Roads can burn our paws when we go walking with our humans here in summer.
I am really growing up and have finally conceded to Fiona’s “outside” word when she is off to work.
Even though it is summer here I still love to snuggle up by her and keep her warm during cool evenings!
I wish you both a very Merry Christmas and happy 2015, along with your mum Margot.
Love and thanks for all your wonderful posts and other things at Paws to Talk

Whippet Boy and Fiona,
Enjoy your summer. We love Winter but Fall is probably our favorite! Hope that you both have a lovely holiday season and 2015.
