About Us

PawsToTalk is a site that is devoted to developing a community of people who love animals and live with them as companions. The idea is to bring together pet experts and professionals, and those of us who are pet owners. PawsToTalk wants to be the incubator for dialogues between pet pros and pet lovers, as well as, directly between anyone who wants to take part in the conversation.

Even though this site is named PawsToTalk, it will cover more than cats and dogs. The site will feature stories about all types of pets. So if your pet walks, flies, swims, runs, hops or slithers you are welcome to send in stories, videos, photos or post a comment on Jackie's Blog.

PawsToTalk is somewhat unusual in that it is a hybrid site – partly an e-magazine and partly an interactive, user-driven site. As you visit our site the first thing that will catch your eye is a series of feature stories. Set up like a conventional magazine, these professionally written articles will tackle a broad range of pet-related topics, from the latest trends, to how-to's, advice from experts, news, and controversial issues.

The site also features a Reader's Section, which is open for all users to voice their opinions and to share photos, stories and videos of their own pets. Jackie's Blog is a completely interactive blog section. Here any user is free to comment on just about any subject concerning companion pets. Use the blog to comment on any of the feature stories, or to give your opinion on pet-related legislation and practices, or even to respond to another blogger, suggest topics for future stories or ask questions concerning your pet and we'll try to get the answers from an expert. The forum is open and the floor is yours.

We want to meet your pets, so send in a photo and it'll go on our photo album, or maybe even become Pet of the Week. Have a cute or funny video of your pet? Send it to us and it'll be seen on our video section, or send us a story about the pet and we'll publish it.

Part of what PawsToTalk is trying to do is to get pet product manufacturers involved in our community. Yes, there will be advertisements on the site, but we are also endeavoring to bring discounts, coupons and special promotions to our readers from these manufacturers. In the coming weeks there will be a section of the site devoted to bringing manufacturer's promotions to our users.
